Clean Label Baby and Toddler Snacks (and the Containers We Use)

Snack time should be nourishing — not a source of hidden sugars, artificial colors, or mystery ingredients. Here are the clean label snacks I keep stocked for my daughter, the containers we use to pack them, and why I trust them.
What to Look For in Baby and Toddler Snacks
When I read a snack label I am looking for a short, recognizable ingredient list with no added sugars or sweeteners, no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, organic when possible, and real whole food ingredients listed first. If I can't pronounce it or wouldn't find it in my own kitchen, it doesn't make the cut.

Our Favorite Clean Snacks
Amara Smoothie Melts
These are made from real organic fruit and vegetables — freeze-dried and formed into little melt-in-your-mouth pieces that are perfect for babies learning to self-feed. The mixed red berry flavor is my daughter's absolute favorite. The ingredient list is literally just fruit and vegetables. Nothing else.

What We Pack Our Snacks In
Just as important as what goes into the snack is what it goes into. Plastic bags and containers can leach chemicals directly onto your child's food — especially with repeated use and washing. Here are the non-toxic snack containers we use every single day.
Silicone Reusable Snack Containers 3 Pack
These are our go-to for on-the-go snacking. No BPA, no plastic leaching, and they are dishwasher safe which is a must for busy moms. We use them for everything from cut fruit to crackers to dry cereal. Once you switch you will never go back to plastic bags.

Elk and Friends Kids Porcelain Divided Plates with Silicone Sleeves
We ditched the plastic divided plates and never looked back. Porcelain means no chemicals leaching into your toddler's food, and the silicone sleeves make them safe and easy for little hands to hold. They are genuinely beautiful too — the kind of dish you actually want on your table.

Juome Stainless Steel 3 Compartment Snack Containers
Stainless steel is one of the safest materials for storing food — no plastic, no leaching, no worries. These are perfect for packing a balanced toddler snack with protein, fruit, and a little treat all in one container. Our lunchbox game changer.

Caperci 4 Pack Bento Snack Boxes

A Note on Snack Frequency
Even clean snacks should be part of a balanced approach to feeding. I use these as bridge snacks between meals or for on-the-go situations — not as meal replacements. Real whole foods first, always.
